Modern Men's Watches

Watches are a crucial style choice for men and with the ever increasing number of brands and the easy availability of cheap knock offs it is becoming impossible to stand out from the crowd.  Enter the pocket watch.

Pocket watches were symbols of style and status for decades.  From their invention in the 1500's until fairly recently these timepieces were the finishing touch to every gentleman's outfit.  Traditionally they were gold, and as time went by they became more and more extravagant with rubies and diamonds being used as a public display of wealth.  Much as rap stars and footballers wear iced-out watches today.  But they dropped off the fashion radar decades ago.

Wristwatches took precedence as they appear more functional but now the class and elegance of the pocket watch has once more been realised.  With style icons such as Joe Lean ( from Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong), Coffin Joe (From The Horrors) and Russell Brand making GQ's top 50 Best-dressed Men in Britain, the Dickensian trend is on the rise, and in order to be modern and current dressing as if it was the 1800's seems to be the way forward.

We're not suggesting you have to go and buy a three piece suit and start wearing a pocket watch daily, but why not embrace the trend with a modern twist on the traditional pocket watch designed by the Danish designers Pilgrim.  They have created a striking black and orange chronograph watch set in a stainless steel case and on a long stainless steel chunky chain.  It can clip on to your trousers and the watch will fulfill it's title by sitting in your pocket.  An easy and effortless way to be original and one step ahead of the rest.
