Leather Island vintage leather belts are created by American designer Bill Lavin to make one of a kind statement pieces easily available and easily affordable. Having been a vintage accessory collector for many years, he found the flea markets were beginning to dry up, and so began creating high quality leather belts which have been handmade and individually distressed making no two belts the same.
Bill now counts Brad Pitt and Madonna amoung his customers and he has worked closely with Ralph Lauren. Every belt is made from heavy weight full grain leather, and all the buckles are crafted from Pewter and made in England. The designs along the belt do not repeat and they are all screen printed, which is a very time consuming process.
This particular belt has been made in tribute to London, hence the name. It features classic London imagery, such as the red double decker bus, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and a sign for good old fish and chips. A perfect tongue in cheek fashion statement, or good for flying the flag of our capital.
