The benefits of sunglasses for men were soon acknowledged by the US military which developed the famous 'aviator' sunglasses for their WWII pilots, and then following huge consumer demand for the style, they were made available to the public. The popularity of wearing sunglasses has continued to grow and now of course a pair of shades is an essential man's accessory for the sunshine months of the year.
