EK is a fresh new brand from the New Era hat company. It is named after the initials of it's founder, Mr Ehrhardt Koch. This is a genuine return to the original roots of New Era, which was started by Ehrhardt to make fashion headwear for gents back in the 1920's... even before the invention of the baseball cap! Of course New Era pretty much owns the baseball cap business now, and as a tribute to the original founder, the EK range will feature details and styles that were used by New Era back then. The range is based on traditional hat formats like the trilby and gatsby, but also incorporates more contemporary styles like the military cap and duckbill.
The headwear itself will be more understated than current New Era styles, but this brand certainly won't be ashamed of itself, and isn't afraid to innovate. The detailing on the EK headwear is simply sublime; all are beautifully made from high-quality materials, with excellent stitching and all incorporate soft lining on the interior often with gold embroidery which just gives these hats that little extra, and an expensive overall feel.
Since the New Era hat company was founded back in the 1920's it has been passed down through the genrerations of the family. It is still run by the Koch family today, with the same passion and vision that created the company 85 years ago.
