This 'Pimp, Star Performer' Watch from Tokyo Flash is part of a range from the Japanese company to hit the forefront of technology and give a new dynamic to the classic digital watch. The concept of the watches creates an almost secret and undercover element for the wearer, as a collaboration seems to form as only the owners of a Tokyo Flash watch will know how to use it. The concept of this watch specifically is that there is a 'Digital light fireworks' effect twice a day, once at 7pm and once at 1am, marking out those nocturnal events with the 44 blue LED's that the watch uses for its light show.
The watch is solidly constructed from stainless steel, it's fascia measures at 2.9cm/1.2" wide and 5.5cm/2.2" long, this watch is not only a novelty item, Tokyo Flash take into consideration the aspects of the everyday life, which is why this watch also sits at 1.1cm deep with a mineral glass face for durability and clarity of the digital impact. The 'Star Performer' is also water resistant 3ATM, so although it is best not to submerge in water this watch will deliver through splashes and rain water. It is a linked watch but the strap can be adjusted by a watch repairer by taking out the necessary links. It is also possible to obtain extra links if needed. This watch comes delivered in a Tokyo Flash box with all the instruction included.
HOW TO TELL THE TIME:
There are four vertical columns of numbers. The LEDs light up behind a number on each of the columns. So when you read it horizontally, the figure which is illuminated represents the corresponding digit in the time. Therefore if the lights illuminate the 0 in the first column, the 8 in the second column, the 3 in the third column and the 7 in the fourth column, the time is 08:37.
In addition to this, the icon which is illuminated at the top, tells you whether it is showing the time, date, year etc.
CLOCK ICON: This shows the time in selected 12hr or 24hr.
SUN ICON: Shows the day/date.
DOLLAR ICON: Gives the year
MARTINI ICON: Represents the evening/night (drinking usually done at night!)
To show each of these you can just simply repeatedly press the 'A' (Protruding) button. Once the time is brought up it will flash up every minute for twelve minutes.
