Caps

Caps are the cornerstone of casual male style. They originated in America as baseball caps and were quickly seen to be a good practical hat design; ideal for both keeping the sun from your eyes and identifying the wearer. Their popularity increased and they have now been adopted by people all over the world. This headwear is used in many situations; by sportsmen, the police and importantly here as part of our casual clothing collection. The cap has endured many changes in style and weathered several complete changes in fashion, but even so there is still a fashionable cap to suit every look and every man should have one.

Male Designer Headwear

Characterised by the dome section over the head and peaked front, this type of headwear usually has fixings at the back which allows the size of the brim to be adjusted to fit your head. Certain variations have had coverage recently including the 'trucker' cap made famous by Johnny Knoxville which features mesh at the rear and a flatter foam-backed front to the domed section on which a retro slogan or design is often emblazoned. The classic baseball cap with its straight flat peak and raised embroidery logo is still a big hit and the bread-and-butter of the US urban look.

Unique Materials & Construction

Modern caps make use of unusual materials such as fur, leather and mesh to push back the boundaries of design and give them unique properties to suit the different seasons. Variable coloured stitching and fabrics, transparent plastic peaks, logos embossed on the front and holograms on the underside of the peak are all further developments which have ensured that the cap retains its place on the list of essentials for so many men's casual outfits.
