Leather Island was created by American designer Bill Lavin. Bill wanted to create vibrant, vintage inspired designs which are of the highest quality, but still easily affordable. Bill believes that no matter how much you pay for premium jeans, essentially you have a 5 pocket western style, just with huge price differentials. Add a striking, unique leather belt, and all eyes are on you.
These designs are meant to be collected, and the price reflects this. Why have one really expensive cool belt, when you could have many reasonably priced cool belts? Each design is hand finished, made from genuine leather and all the buckles are pewter and handmade in England. The quality has in no way been compromised.
This particular design features a variety of skulls, which has no repetition of the design along the length of the leather. The belt has been individually screen printed and then hand embellished with pin heads to make this belt really edgy. One of the hottest looks this season is using gothic imagery in fashion, so this belt is bang on trend.
