This vintage inspired belt is from the new collection from Leather Island by Bill Lavin. Bill has worked with designers such as Ralph Lauren, and provided belts for Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt and Madonna. Bill recognised the trend for vintage clothing, and saw how limited it's availability was, so he created his own line of handmade, high quality vintage leather belts at a great price.
With a heavy focus on individuality (the artwork and ageing on the belts are never the same) Leather Island produces vintage looking belts out of new materials, utilizing an intensely complicated and time-consuming emulsion screening process. Every buckle is handmade in Liverpool and crafted in Pewter. The leather is heavy weight full grain making it really resilient. These are belts designed to be passed down through the generations.
This belt features a variety of gothic skull images which are not repeated along the entire length of the belt. Bill and his son viewed 5000 skull images from tombs and manuscripts to create this truly individual belt. The fastening also has a handcrafted skull decorating the side.
